CAIRO - 26 March 2019: The Supreme Council of Culture will organize a Women's Forum in celebration of the International Women's Day and the Egyptian Women's Day on April 2 at 6 p.m. at the headquarters of the council at the Cairo Opera House.
The forum will begin with a speech given by Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem, followed by a speech given by Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Culture Said el-Masry, writer Youssef al-Qaid and writer Hala al-Badri.
During the forum, Abdel Dayem will honor women who contributed to the cultural and intellectual movement on the Arab and international levels in the fields of arts, literature and social sciences.
In addition, the forum will include critical interventions, during which examples of the creations of a number of Egyptian writers will be highlighted.
Among the honorees will be novelist Ihsan Kamal, veteran journalist Ikbal Baraka, critic Amina Shafique, and novelist Zeinab Sadek, among others.
