CAIRO - 21 March 2019: The Ministry of Culture has completed the development of a strategy and a new vision for the production plan of the theatrical performances produced by the General Authority for Culture Palaces.
The authority aims to motivate young creative talents and enrich theatrical movement in various provinces across Egypt.
The plan includes 302 shows in cultural houses, culture palaces, and theatrical clubs of Cairo and other provinces as well as numerous specialized workshops.
Chairman of the General Authority for Culture Palaces Ahmed Awad stated that attracting young people and discovering new talents is one of the most important and fundamental roles that the Culture Palaces Authority plays.
Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem called for creating opportunities for promising innovators in the various aspects of theatrical arts, within the production plan set to be implemented in various provinces across Egypt. The plan includes presenting the creations of youth as well as showcasing important works of Egyptian and international theatrical performances.
Director of the Theater Department in the General Authority for Culture Palaces Adel Hassan noted that the production plan focuses on the quality of the scripts which shed light on serious societal issues.
