Ahmed Helmy, Maged el-Kedwany to be honored in Arab Theater Festival

CAIRO - 12 March 2019: Minister of Culture Inas Abdel-Dayem will inaugurate the 36th edition of the Arab Theater Festival "Zaki Tulaimat", organized by the Academy of Arts headed by Ashraf Zaki, for students of the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts.

The festival's 37th edition carries the slogan "Believe your dream”; the festival will kick off on March 12 at 7 p.m. in Ali Fahmy Theater at the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts and will run until March 25.

The opening ceremony includes an orchestra performance led by Maestro Ahmed el-Henawy, followed by the honoring of former directors of the institute, including Galal el-Sharkawy, Fawzy Fahmi, Samir Ahmed, Galal Hafez, playwright Ahmed Sakhsouk, Hassan Attia, Abdel Nasser el-Gemayel and Abdel Moneim Mubarak, along with Marwa Abdel Moneim and Khaled Hassouna.

A group of stars will also be honored during the opening ceremony, including mega stars Ahmed Helmy and Maged el-Kedwany.
