CAIRO - 5 March 2019: Sharm El-Sheikh International Theater Festival for Youth finalized preparations for the launch of its fourth edition set to be held from April 1 - 10.
In this context, President of the festival Mazen al-Gharbawi announced beginning the participation in theater workshops for youth from different governorates of Egypt. These workshops are run by three experts in distinguished theatrical arts.
Also, an Italian acting technique will be taught in an acting workshop presented by Palestinian artist Kamel el-Basha.
A workshop presented by Iraqi playwright Ali Abdul Nabi al-Zaidi and entitled "Free Your Head Imagine and Write" will be offered by the Sharm El-Sheikh International Theater.
Executive director of the festival Engi el-Bastawy explained that applicants are supposed to be 17 to 35 years old.
All workshops will be held in South Sinai Governorate's Sharm El-Sheikh, and will be supervised by the festival’s management.
The festival’s management is also responsible for all accommodation and subsistence costs of the youth in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Sharm El-Sheikh International Theatre Festival for Youth is the first international theatrical competition to be held in Sinai. The festival's fourth edition represents a celebration that revives the touristic, cultural and artistic aspects of South Sinai.
The honorary president of the fourth session of Sharm El-Sheikh International Theater Festival for Youth is veteran actress Samiha Ayoub, whereas veteran actor Mohamed Sobhy heads the judging committee.
The festival will be held under the patronage of Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy and South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda.
