CAIRO - 18 January 2019: Ana Mafia” (I am Mafia), the latest song for the Egyptian star Mohamed Ramadan amassed more than 30 million views on YouTube after two weeks from its release.
“Ana Mafia”, has taken all social media platforms by storm, and was the “most searched” on Google, making it the trend of the first days of 2019.
The clip achieved millions of views a few hours after its launch on Ramadan’s official YouTube channel.
Ramadan previously celebrated as four of his songs were among the top Egyptian music videos for the year 2018 in terms of viewership on YouTube.
The Egyptian Center for Public Opinion Research (Baseera) previously announced that Ramadan according to their annual poll is the best actor in 2018.
He received the award of greatest talent nationwide three consecutive times. Ramadan started his career with small roles in TV series like “The Cindrella" until he had his big chance in Yousry Nasrallah's “Ehky Ya Sharazad” (Tell me, Shahrazad).
He then became the star of movies produced by famous Egyptian producer Ahmed el-Sobky, which made him one of the most famous actors in the Middle East.
Mohamed Ramadan is perhaps the only Egyptian actor to have been praised by the internationally acclaimed late actor Omar Sharif, who stated that he had chosen the young actor to perpetuate his acting career.
Director Ibrahim Fakhr will hold intensive working sessions with producer Tamer Morsi and scenarist Abdel Rahim Kamal to settle on the final details of Ramadan’s upcoming series "Zilzal" (Earthquake).
In "Zilzal", Ramadan is set to perform the role of both the father and son, an experience he previously succeeded in, in the series “Nesr el-Saed” (Eagle of Upper Egypt), which gained great success in Ramadan 2018.
