Explore mid-year season's films

CAIRO – 17 January 2019: Local movie theaters continue receiving new films for the mid-year holiday’s season, which began early January, in which four films were ready for screening:

"122":

In a bloody night in a place where people are supposed to feel safe, a young man and his beloved are struggling to run away from hospital and survive the night.

The film is starring Tarek Lotfy, Ahmed Dawood, Amina Khalil, Ahmad el-Fishawy, Mahmoud Hijazi, and Jihane Khalil, among others.

The film is written by Salah el-Gehiny and directed by Yasir al-Yasiri.

"Sa’etReda": (An hour of content)

The film is a comedy story revolving around a man whofinds a magical cloth than can allow him to travel backwards in time.

The film is starring Ahmed Fathy, Dina Fouad, Hala Fakher, and Mohammed Tharwat, among others. It is written by Hisham Yehia and directed by Hany Hamdi.

"Omar Khristo":

The film revolves around a man that finds himself in trouble, when a terrorist organization demands that he joins their scheme to bomb gas pipes in Sinai.

The film is starring Ahmed el-Tohamy, Ahmed el-Salakawy, and Dominic Howrany, among others. It is written by Joseph Fawzy and directed by Seif Youssef.

"El-Deif":

“El Deif” (The guest) is a socio-political thriller starring Khaled el-Sawy, Sherine Reda, Ahmad Malek and Jamila Awad.
The film revolves around a man who faces a lot of backlash and is put in a very tough situation.

The film is the second screenplay written by veteran writer and thinker Ibrahim Issa, after his first movie “Mawlana” (The Sheikh).

The local cinemas are preparing to screen five new films during the second half of January:

"Karmat Beyetmarmat":

This film stars Ahmed Adam and is directed by Lebanese director A’sd Fwladkar. The film is written by Ahmad abu Zeid, Mohamed Mehrez and Amin Gamal.

The cast also includes Bayoumi Fouad, Mohamed Tharwat and Mai Selim.

The film is a continuation of a character that Adam previously played in the films “Maalesh Ehna Benetbahdel” (Sorry, we are being demeaned) and “Karmouti fe Ard el-Nar” (Karmouti in the land of fire).

"Nadi el-Regal el-Seri" (Men’s secret club):

This movie’s filming got postponed numerous times; however, it will be released in local cinemas on Jan. 23.

The film is starring Karim Abdel Aziz, Ghada Adel, and Maged el-Kedwany, among others. It is written by Ayman Wattar and directed by Khaled el-Halafawi.

"Immobile Building"

This film will also be released in cinemas on Jan. 23. It is starring Hany Adel, and Nahed al-Sebaie, among others. The film is directed by Khaled al-Hagar.

"Sab’e el-Boromba" (The tough guy):

This film will be released on Jan. 30. The film is starring Ramez Galal, Bayoumi Fouad, and Jamila Awad, among others. The film is written by Loay el-Sayed.

"El-Kenz PII":

This movie will also be released on Jan. 30. The film is starring Mohamed Ramadan, Hend Sabry, and Ruby, among others. The film is written by Abdel Rahim Kamal and directed by Sherif Arafa.
