CAIRO – 15 January 2019: Veteran actor Samir Ghanem celebrates his birthday on Jan. 15. The famed actor created a distinguished artistic family by marrying actress Dalal Abdel Aziz and having Donia and Emi, who followed their parents' footsteps.

In celebration of his birthday, ET presents a rare video showing Ghanem performing a duo with late actor Farid Shawki at a concert in Jordan.
Ghanem took the microphone and told the audience that Farid Shawki had a melodious voice and called him a “baroque singer”.

Ghanem is an Egyptian comedian and entertainer. He was a member of the stand-up comedy trio Tholathy Adwa'a El-Masrah alongside George Sidhom and El-Deif Ahmed.
Their debut was “Doctor Save Me”, a short performance that introduced them to the entertainment world. Their first ever TV show was “Ramadan Riddles”.
After El-Deif Ahmed's death in 1970, Ghanem and Sidhom continued under the same name “Tholathy Adwa'a El-Masrah” until the 1980s.
Samir Ghanem used to host a show on OTV called “An Hour With Samir Ghanem”.
He is the father of actresses Donia Samir Ghanem and Amal (Emy Samir Ghanem).
