CAIRO – 13 January 2019: A number of cultural and artistic events will be held in numerous cultural institutions and centers on Jan. 13, 2018.
The Arab Theater Festival, organized by the Arab Theater Authority in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, launched a series of events about Egyptian comedy and melodrama at 10 a.m.
The General Department of Historic Cairo, in cooperation with the Cairo Puppet Theater at the Ministry of Culture, will present a special puppeteers show at the Shaer Theater in El-Moez Street at 4 p.m.
Additionally, the Book Club of the Egyptian-Lebanese Library House will discuss the latest novel by Amr el-Adly, “Qabl al-Masa’a” (Before the Evening), at 7 p.m. at the Grand Cairo Library in Zamalek.
Shaker Abdel Hamid will discuss the novel with a number of writers and readers. The Salmina Cultural Salon in Nasr City will hold a cultural evening at 6 p.m.to discuss Adel Essmat's novel “Sawt al-Ghorab” (Voice of the Crow), published by the Khan Library.
Last but not least, the play “Emel Nafsak Mayet”(Act Dead),written by El-Sayed Fahim and directed by Ashraf Abdel Gawad, will be staged at 8 p.m. at the Giza Cultural Center.
