CAIRO - 11 January 2019: A Notable group of Egyptian and Arab singers will perform in the prominient musical Kuwaiti festival Hala February which will kick off on February 1, 2019.
The acclaimed Arab singer Mohamed Abdou will perform at the opening ceremong of the festival on February 1.
The acclaimed Kuwaiti star Abdullah Al Ruwaished and the Egyptian star Sherine Abdel Wahab will perform on February 7, while the veterans Rabeh Saqr and Nabil Shoeil will perform on February 8.
On Thursday February 14 the Iraqi star Majid el Mohandes and Lebeanese star Najwa Karam will perform.
On Friday, February 15 the Syrian star Assala Nasri and the Kuwaiti singer Mutref el Mutref will perform in the festival’s fifth day.
The Emirati heartthrob Hussein el Jasmi and the Egyptian mega star Angham will perform on Thursday, February 21.
The veteran Saudi singer Abade Al Johar and the famed Kuwaiti singer Nawal will perform on the closing ceremony of the festival on February 22.
Abdel Wahab, 37, is a popular Egyptian singer who was born in 1980. She started her career in 2000. Two years later, the music producer Nassr Mahrous who strongly believed in Abdel Wahab paired her with Tamer Hosny on the same music album.
The album achieved booming success; Abdel Wahab and Hosny became mega stars.
Abdel Wahab released a lot of successful songs such as “Masha’aer’’ (Emotions), "Albi Leek" (My heart is for you), “Garh Tany” (Another wound), “Lazem Ayesh” (I have to survive), “Batmenak” (I am Reassuring you) among others.
She acted in one movie along with the Egyptian mega star Ahmed Helmy entitled “Mido Mashakel” (Mido always makes problems). Her soap opera “Tare’y” (My path), released in 2015, achieved great success.
Abdel Wahab is famous for her emotional, melodious voice that has a significant touch of intimacy. She is consistently hailed as one of the most talented and successful singers of her era, being dubbed as “The Queen of Emotions” for her popular romantic ballads.
Abdel Wahab released her latest album titled “Nasai” (Forgetful) on October 24, 2018.
Angham comes from an artistic family and was born in 1972. Her father is veteran musician and composer Mohamed Ali Soliman.
Angham is a popular Egyptian singer who started her artistic career in 1987. She presented a group of successful songs such as "Etegah Wahed" (One Direction), "Toul Ma Enta Be'eid" (As Long As You Are Far), "Akteblak Ta3ahod" (I Pledge to You), and "Mahzoma" (Defeated), among other popular songs.
Profits made by Angham's albums during the past two decades remain the highest among other Egyptian singers of her category. It is worth noting that the star’s fans and critics in the industry named her “Egypt’s No. 1”.
Angham was the best-selling female pop artist in 2003. She is famous for her wide vocal range and romantic style.
Angham’s last album “Rah Tethkerni” (You’ll Remember Me) gained great success at the time of its release. Angham cooperated with numerous Arab musicians and poets in the album such as Ahmad al-Sane’e, Khaled al-Awadhi, and Turki Al-Sheikh.
Angham performed for the first time in a massive concert in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, September 22 on the occasion of Saudi Arabian National Day.
Angham's latest song "Bakhaf Afrah" (I am Afraid of Being Happy) hits about 9 million views on YouTube after three weeks from its release. "Bakhaf Afrah" is written by Turki Al-Sheikh and composed by Khaled Ezz.
