Tarab Zaman band to perform on Jan. 10

CAIRO – 7 January 2019: Tarab Zaman band, led by Atef Imam, will perform in a musical evening on Jan. 10 at the Arab Music Institute, with the participation of singers Radwa Said and Soraya Medhat.

The evening’s musical program will consist of numerous heritage songs of late veteran singers Mohammed Fawzi, Abdul Halim Hafez, Umm Kulthum, Abdul Muttalib and Mohammed Abdul Wahab.

It is worth mentioning that Tarab Zaman band was established in 2015, under the supervision of Maha al-Arabi, with the aim of preserving the heritage of Arabic music and presenting it to the public, especially the younger generations.

The band includes the most prominent musicians from the professors of the Higher Institute of Arabic Music at the Academy of Arts. The band participated in many concerts, including the opening ceremony of the 23rd edition of The Qurain Festival in Kuwait in 2016, which is organized annually by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature in Kuwait.

The band had also participated in numerous musical events held in the Egyptian Opera House and other events organized by the Manasterly and Beshtak palaces.
