Cairo – 1 June 2017: Egyptian Jazz legend Yehya Khalil will perform a musical concert at the Cairo Opera House on June 22. He will play a mixture of his old and new musical compositions.
Khalil began his career at age 13, when he founded the Cairo Jazz Quartet. He later moved to the U.S., where he studied under the famous percussionist Roy Knapp and toured the country with many notable Jazz bands. He is also the first to mix Egyptian music with jazz as early as the 1960s.
