Sisi praises prominent actress Raja el-Geddawi

CAIRO – 25 December 2018: Prominent actress and former model Raja el-Geddawi commented on her participation in the International Day of People with Disabilities, saying “I cannot express my happiness with the president’s words.”

It is worth noting that President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi praised the veteran actress, saying “You will always remain elegant.”

Geddawi said during a phone call to the program “Rai A’am” (Public opinion) aired on TEN TV that she is extremely pleased with the president’s words and that she did not participate to show off her fashionable clothes, but to share joy with those who have special needs.

“I was so pleased to be with those beautiful children; the whole place was filled with Joy," said Geddawi. “The president could not hold back his tears of joy,” continued the actress.

President Sisi attended on Dec. 24 the celebrations of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, organized by the Egyptian Athletic Federation for Mental Disabilities under the title “Able to differ”, in the presence of PM Mustafa Madbouli and a number of Egyptian ministers and officials.
