CAIRO - 25 December 2018: Sculptor May Abdallah launched her new exhibition "Teatro" on Dec. 24 at the Egyptian Gallery in Zamalek in the presence of Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali and a number of public figures, artists, critics and journalists.

Running until Jan. 13, the exhibition includes a collection of the most prominent sculptures of the artist, including more than 22 works portraying everlasting symbols of art, such as late actor Najib Rihani, Abdel Halim Hafez, Umm Kulthum, Hassan Fayek, Mohammed Munir, Abdul Salam al-Nabulsi, and Ahmed Farhat.

Abdallah chose the previously mentioned Egyptian art symbols, as she believes they had a great impact on the history of Egyptian cinema.

"I chose the name 'Teatro' to match the content of the art exhibition," commented Abdallah.
Mai Abdullah is an Egyptian sculptor who graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Minia University.

She won the title of "Minya's sculptor" after her last project on Egyptian cinema. She also participated in the 2017 and 2018 World Youth Forum in Sharm El-Sheikh.
