CAIRO – 11 December 2018: Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem signed a cooperation agreement with Chairman of the National Authority for Tourism and National Heritage of Saudi Arabia, Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud for manufacturing Handicrafts.

The signing of the cooperation was attended by Manager of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Mustafa el-Feki. Abdel Dayem affirmed that this cooperation is the beginning of a multi-directional exchange of cultural experience and investment between the two nations.
The Egyptian minister explained that the agreement aims to strengthen ties between both countries and highlight the significant role of handicrafts in uniting people.

Abdel Dayem pointed out that the dual cooperation program provides the necessary measures for enabling the handicrafts sector to contribute to strengthening the economic, social and cultural cooperation between the two nations through the mutual exchange of information and studies.

The agreement also aims to encourage relevant institutions and organizations to organize specialized training courses and workshops, according to Abdel Dayem.
On the other hand, Prince Sultan mentioned that Egypt is a country of great generosity, and that the Saudi side continues to draw on Egypt’s ancient human heritage, pointing to the importance of Egypt's pioneering and interactive role in all fields, and labeling Egypt as the heart of the entire Arab nation.
