Children Film Festival to kick off Nov. 24

CAIRO – 23 November 2018: Magy Anwar, president of the Children Film Festival, announced that the festival will kick off on Nov. 24. The festival will run for one day only and will be held in Darb 1718 Contemporary Art and Culture Center starting 6 p.m.

Anwar further explained that the films competing in the festival were carefully selected and that the duration of the films combined does not exceed 2 hours.

she stressed that 2 hours are enough as the children will not have the mental ability to watch different films for more than the selected duration. Anwar further clarified that the films come from all around the world.

Anwar revealed that, like the previous editions, no judging committee was selected for the CFF's third edition, and that the judging committee will be the children themselves to enhance their critical thinking, allowing them to be film creators in the future.
