Salama: Zumba links music, art and sport together

CAIRO – 7 October 2018: Founder of Glam Getaways Festival for promoting tourism through practicing Zumba, Sally Salama, said that the second edition of the festival aims at creating a new kind of sports tourism in the Arab countries and the world.





Salama added that tourists who are eager to visit various touristic destinations are always looking for something new.

Tourists according to Salama seek to obtain the largest information from the touristic destinations they visit, especially those experiences in which sports, arts and music are linked together, and all of the previous are present in Zumba.



Zumba as recounted by Salama has become a common language among those who practice this sport around the world .

Glam Getaways idea is to give tourists unforgettable experiences that they can keep on social networking sites such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, and this is a great opportunity to create a more positive mental image of Egypt.

Salama revealed that this year's edition focuses on the presence of members from various countries that its tourists visit Egypt regularly especially those markets Egypt targets to increase the number of its tourists such as Spain, Latin America countries and Arab countries such as Lebanon, Jordan and Gulf countries.

After the huge success of the 2017 event featuring top Zumba instructors from around the world, Glam Getaways decided to highlight the dazzling beauty of Luxor, Aswan and Nubia in its second edition.

The second edition of Glam Getaways will be held between October 11 and 19.
Glam Getaways, was launched for the first time in November 5, 2017, in Cairo, Luxor and Aswan, and achieved its goal to promote tourism through practicing Zumba.

GLAM Getaways is an exceptional multi-day international event in Egypt, which is open for all Zumba fans around the world. Glam Getaways invites all Zumba fans around the world to enjoy energetic workouts on the banks of the Nile with 15 international instructors, alongside Egyptian trainers.

GLAM is the first international event featuring Zumba Fitness Master Classes in Egypt, aiming to help promote local tourism. It is also considered to be the first of its kind in the Middle East.

The event will be hosted for six days in Gouna, and only for two days in Cairo.
