Trump and pope Francis-file photo
CAIRO –27th of May: U.S. President Donald Trump gave Pope Francis of the Vatican a collection of books, as well as a piece of granite from the Martin Luther King memorial statue. One of the books presented by the president to the Vatican Pope was ‘’Strength to love’’ by Martin Luther King, written in 1963.
The book is a collection of speeches primarily on racial discrimination in the United States, focussing on religious values. King's writings reflect his strong belief about the necessity of love. He believes that in order to realize this vision we must first face our fears and then master them through courage, love and faith.
