CAIRO – 20 September 2018: A high-level delegation led by Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem and Egyptian artists and intellectuals will participate in the 18th edition of the Amman International Book Fair, set to be held from Sept. 26 to Oct. 6.
Egypt's Ambassador in Amman Tarek Adel declared during a press conference held on Wednesday, September 19, that Egypt’s participation as a guest honor in the Amman International Book Fair confirms the high level of cooperation between the two countries.
Around 360 publishing houses from 17 countries will participate in this year’s edition, titled “Jerusalem is Palestine’s Capital”.
Jordanian Minister of Culture Basma Nsour said during the press conference that the fair is considered the most prominent cultural and intellectual event in Jordan as it enables visitors from different countries to get acquainted with local, Arab and international cultural scenes and attend seminars and activities.
Nsour added that the fair allows publishers and writers to present their works to the public, engage with partners and meet with governmental and private cultural institutions.
