'Mamno’ Eltasweer' to compete in El-Sawy Culturewheel Festival

CAIRO – 3 September 2018: Wisdom Hall in El-Sawy Culturewheel is going to host a special preview of the short documentary “Mamno’ Eltasweer” (No Photography) on Tuesday September 4, 2018.

The documentary is going to compete for the awards of the 14th edition of El-Sawy Culturewheel Festival for Short Documentaries. A total of 14 films will participate in the festival this year.

Abdallah Adel, director of the movie, said in statements to MENA, that the documentary “No Photography” is his most recent work, and that the movie's filming was completed last July. The documentary revolves around life in the city of Alexandria.

Adel further stated that the documentary does not exceed 19 minutes. It revolves around a director that abandoned his life in Cairo and decided to return to his home city, Alexandria, in order to film his third documentary film.

However, the director eventually fails to attain the required licenses to complete his project and resorts to using simple tools for filming, portraying the conflicts that common people face and how they feel towards society.
