CAIRO – 20 August 2018: Alexandria International Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries will honor several names that are deeply engraved in the history of Arab cinema such as Syrian actor Abbas al-Noury, Palestinian director Rashid Masharawi, Moroccan artist Rawya el-Maghribiya and famed Palestinian Hossein el-Kala.
The festival is organized by the Egyptian Association of Film Writers and Critics and headed by film critic Al-Amir Abaza. Each artist will be honored in a separate seminar under the auspices of Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem and in the presence of several media platforms.The festival's 34th edition will hold the name of veteran actress Nadia Lotfy and will be held from October 3-8, 2018.
The designer of the festival’s flier is Alexandrian artist Ahmad el-Baz. The artist blended the historical monuments of the city with the image of veteran actress, Lotfy. Alexandria International Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries is an annual Egyptian film festival that was first launched in the year 1979 by the Egyptian Association of Film Writers and Critics
