CAIRO – 11 August 2018: Twenty graduates of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo are getting ready to display their art works in a gallery titled “Show #1”, held on Aug. 12 in Picasso East Gallery in New Cairo at 7 p.m.
The young graduates are proudly going to portray what they have learned throughout their academic life through their artworks that reflect both realistic and expressive approaches.
Dr. Ashraf Reda, a fine arts professor and president of Arac for Art and Culture, explained that the graduates are walking along the foot path of their ancestors; the pioneers of modern fine art such as Yusif Kamel, Ragheb Ayad, Mohamed Hassan, Ahmad Sabri, Hamid Nada and others.
Oil paintings using different classical methods will be present in the gallery, along with wall imaging, creative Mosaic works and artistic works performed on stained glass.
The manager of the Picasso Gallery, Dr. Reda Ibrahim, explained that the initiative was taken to encourage young artists and provide them with support, along with supporting the Egyptian Fine Art movement.
The gallery will be operating until Sept. 11, 2018.
