Seminar During National Theatre Festival - cc via Youm7
CAIRO – 2 August 2018: The National Theatre Festival ended its program on Wednesday. A documentary and a show will be the closing for the festival, which will be held in the Opera Theatre on Friday.
A show directed by Sally Ahmed and starring Reem Ahmed, singer and composer Dalia Farid, and scenography by Amro Abdallah will be the closing performance for the festival this year.
The show will be performed alongside a documentary that will be played for the attendees titled “Shams Almasrah Almasry” (Sun of the Egyptian Theatre), narrated by Khaled Hilal, filmed by Mohamed Farouq, Michael Saed, Mostafa Yehya and directed by Ahmed Adel.
The documentary will be played before the announcing of the award winners of the festival by Mohamed el-Khouly, chairman of the National Centre for Theatre, Music and Folklore.
The closing ceremony will be held at 8 p.m. in the Main Hall in the Egyptian Opera House.
The management of the National Theatre Festival postponed the closing ceremony for the festival’s 11th round, from Aug. 2 to Aug. 3.
It was postponed because of maintenance works taking place in the Main Hall.
The festival’s program consisted of three shows that were performed on the National Theatre among others; “Mosafer Eleil” (Night Traveler), “Elthamena Masa’an” (8 p.m.), and “Rehlat Elzaman Elgamil” (The Journey into the Golden Days).
