“Gunshot” previously participated in the events of the Málaga Work in Progress in collaboration with the Arab Cinema Center (ACC) as part of the Málaga Film Festival, which was held in Spain from April 13 to 22.
“Gunshot” revolves around a mysterious murder that connects the destinies of the protagonists and changes their beliefs about the concept of truth.

Dabbour began his career with short movies and documentaries, with “Tahrir 2011: The Good, the Bad and the Politician” being the most famous. The documentary was split into three segments, and directors Tamer Ezzat, Ayten Amin and Amr Salama each took over one part.
It screened in Egyptian cinemas in 2011 and was the first documentary to be featured commercially for a long time. It was well received by the audience when it premiered at the Venice and Toronto film festivals.
Dabbour later wrote a number of short movies for the BBC that were all nominated for awards, including “Fardy” (Individually), which was released in 2013 and stars Khaled El Nabawy. It was the first short movie starring Nabawy and was screened at the Tangier International Film Festival and BAFTA.
Dabbour then started working on long feature movies, like “Photocopy”, whose script was nominated for the Sawiris Cultural Award and won the El Gouna Golden Star Award for Best Arabic Feature Narrative Film at the closing ceremony of the first edition of the El Gouna International Film Festival on Sept. 29.
The Málaga Festival Fund and Co-Production Event was launched for the first time in 1998. The festival has worked throughout its various editions to support and boost Spanish films on both the national and international levels, along with presenting Málaga to the whole world as a cultural city open to different cultures. The festival also aims to promote movie culture and reach audiences from all over the world.
