CAIRO – 20 July 2018: Egyptian superstars Ahmed El- Sakka and Mostafa Shaaban will reunite again in the action movie “Taraneem Iblis” (Satan’s Hymns).
“Taraneem Iblis” will be the second cooperation for the two renowned actors after 16 years from their last cooperation in the Egyptian movie “Mafia” which achieved booming success, generating revenues that amounted to LE 13 million.
“Taraneem Iblis” is written by Mohamed Elsayed Besher and directed by Mohamed Samy and is scheduled to be released in 2019.
The movie’s cast will start shooting the movie next August. The fans of the two stars are eagerly waiting for the movie which will represent a strong comeback to Shaaban, especially as he didn’t participate in any movie since his last movie “El Wattar” (The String) with Ghada Adel in 2010.
Each year, Shaaban used to present the role of a womanizing, rich man who sweet talks women and is ultimately a polygamist – a Don Juan who all women chase after. However, this year, he made a radical shift by playing the role of Ayoub in the series bearing the same name.
Ayoub is a bank employee who is wrongly accused of corruption and is later imprisoned. He suffers from injustice and betrayal by those who surround him, from his sister to his wife and neighbors.
Despite suffering from liver fibrosis, he decides to study for a Master’s degree in prison. Ayoub’s character has garnered widespread sympathy from the public, who praised Shaaban's performance and his ability to play different roles.
Ayten Amer, Hassan Hosny, Mohamed Lotfy, Merihan Hussein and Hana El Zahed co-star in the series, which is written by Mohamed el Sayed Beshir and directed by Ahmed Saleh. The series is produced by the prominent production company Synergy.
El-Sakka has almost finished performing his role in the highly anticipated movie “Serry Le Al-Gha’aya” (Extremely Confidential).
The movie will feature El-Sakka as President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi. More than 20 megastars will participate in this massive movie.
Egyptian actor Mohamed Ramadan will appear as a guest of honor in five or six scenes, portraying two characters, first as a soldier and the second is yet to be revealed.
“Serry Le Al-Gha’aya” depicts Egypt’s history from the beginning of the uprising against Hosni Mubarak on January 25, 2011 until the ousting of Mohamed Morsi on June 30, 2013. The film will also include the terrorist attacks and disturbances that occurred during this time.
