CAIRO – 3 June 2018: Ramadan series "Tayea" caught the attention of many viewers which made the series ranked as No. 1 among the trending hashtags on Twitter in Egypt.

Protagonist, Amr Yousef, who plays the role of Tayea posted on his official Twitter account the list of trending hashtags with his series on top of the list. He wrote “Egypt talks about Tayea.”




It’s the fifth time the series tops the trending hashtags in Egypt charts.

The Director of the series, Amr Salama, posted on his Twitter account that after airing the 18th episodeof "Tayea", the series gets unprecedented reaction and becomes #1 on the trending charts on Twitter in Egypt.




Amr Youssef plays Tayea, a young man from Upper Egypt who graduated from the faculty of medicine. Tayea has a strong opinion concerning revenge customs in Upper Egypt; and he suddenly finds himself involved in a number of crimes, including antiquities smuggling. Seba Mubarak, Amr Abdel Geleel and Soheir el-Morshedy co-star in this series directed by Amr Salama.
