CAIRO – 17 March 2018: Back by popular demand, The Sinatras Soiree will perform their third concert at Magnolia. Leaves of Art club on Saturday, March 31, 2018.
Taking their name from the legendary crooner Frank Sinatra, this band is composed of six passionate, dedicated musicians doing their best to pay tribute to one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century.
Its members are: vocalist Gaby (Gabriel) Bishara, a jazz and opera singer who just so happened to return from Hollywood straight after signing a deal with Capitol Records, Sinatra's former record label. Next up is Khaled Ahmed on guitar, who's been performing for over 15 years and has participated in a wide range of concerts alongside bands such as Hamaki, and Sharmoofers.
Then there's Seif Nasser the percussionist and drummer, who's self-taught and has successfully managed to make a name, thanks to his passion for music. Next is Mohannad Arrab on bass guitar, another self-taught musician who specializes in electric and bass guitar, and has performed in numerous concerts and events at AUC. On piano is Omar Hisham, who has been studying for over 10 years at Abu Dhabi's Piano Center, and has performed at the Cairo Opera House, AUC, El Gomhoreya Theater and more. And last but not least, Mohamed Tannir, the clarinet player, who's also performed alongside Sharmoofers and Hamaki across various concerts.
Sinatra, A.K.A. the 'King of Swing', was one of America's most popular and influential musicians of all time, releasing timeless, beloved hits such as “Fly Me to the Moon” and “My Way”. He is also one of the best-selling music artists of all time, and has influenced countless artists worldwide, with the Sinatra Soiree being a fine example of the talent he still inspires to this day. Born in 1915 and passing away in 1998, Sinatra lived a long life filled with tremendous talent, leaving behind many legacies.
