CAIRO - 30 April 2017: Danses Qu'on Croise, Lorkiana and Bolero Ballet, will show at the Cairo Opera House May 2-5. The title means "encountered dances," which is a play on words referring to both the music and the subject of the ballet.

Danses Qu'on Croise also resembles the pronunciation of “Danses Hongroises,” which simply means 'Hungarian dances' in French.

The show is about four women and four men with different personalities: outgoing, shy, haughty and undecided. They meet in a sort of social club where each looks for a suitable dance partner. Under the amusing and humorous choreography of Thierry Malandain lies a deeper insight into human nature and behavior, and an analogy to universal situations.

In addition to Malandain, the show's choreographers include Mark Manatsakanian, Maurice Béjart and Abdel Moneim Kamel. The music is by famous composer Hisham Gabr, and the show is directed by Erminia Kamel.

Tickets are 100-75-50 EGP. A special discount on tickets will be applied for students: 75-50-35 EGP.
