Born in Cairo in 1984, Khatab is a co-teacher for the Cairo University and a promising new talent in the art world. Drawing since he was 12 years old, Khatab's artwork has evolved to include multimedia such as video installations. His childhood love of drawing billboards he saw on cloth and walls blossomed into his appreciation of calligraphy, which factors heavily in his current exhibition.

Khatab has previously held solo exhibitions, the first of which was called "The Box" at Gezira Art Center in 2013, which was then followed by an exhibit at the Art Lounge in 2015 dubbed "Selem El-Elizeh". His other participations include various group exhibitions, such as "The Youth Salon", and "Bamco Bienalle" in 2011, Sweden's "Art Fair Supermarket", and Cape Town Art Fair in South Africa in 2016 and much more.
"Poetry in Motion" showcases the artist's deep love of calligraphy through a collection of his special paintings, which demonstrate his level of skill in utilizing color, space and calligraphy in a unique manner. His development is multistage, beginning with the creation of public murals, posters and billboards, featuring a unique calligraphy idea.

Beyond his artwork, Khatab plays a crucial and valuable role in educating and inspiring future generations of Egyptian artists into pursuing art, in their own unique way. His work has received prominent praise amongst both critics and more casual audiences, proving a broad appeal that is slowly beginning to be acknowledged internationally as well.
Safarkhan Art Gallery is located in Zamalek, Cairo, and serves as important fine art gallery showcasing artwork and sculptures in both classical and contemporary art. It maintains a unique position in both selling and collecting fine Egyptian art, and has been operating ever since 1968, though it only began selling art in 1989 after a change in owners. It also provides a platform for new artists to exhibit themselves, allowing them a chance to reach a wider audience in the greater art world.
