As an extension of the Cairo Book Fair program activities, the Sefsafa publishing house will be hosting a seminar and discussion with the German author Norbert Frei. The seminar will discuss Frei’s book “1968: Student Revolts and Global Protest”.
“1968” is a non-fiction history book that traces the origins and events of the worldwide protests in the year 1968, with a focus on their causes and roots in Germany. The protests were a series of conflicts that took place in different cities around the world between the people and the military and elite, and were predominantly represented by the cities’ youth and students. Frie offers different perspectives on the events, adopting an international viewpoint in the historical evaluation.
