‘Al Galsa: Shoghl Afareet’ to participate in ATF

CAIRO – 9 January 2018: “Al Galsa: Shoghl Afareet” (The Session: Deeds of Imps) play will participate in the Arab Theater Festival, scheduled to take place in Tunis on Thursday, January 11.The play will be performed twice on Thursday, at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The play revolves around two religious men, one Muslim and the other Christian, who collaborate together in a struggle against a demon, ending up winning and saving a girl that was seduced by the demon. The play stars Taha Khalifa, Fahd Ibrahim, Mido Abdel-Qader and Marina Magdi; it was written and directed by Monadel Antar.

Prominent theatrical critics Azza Heikal, Ahmed Khamis, Yasmine Farrag and Rana Abdel Kawy previously chose “Al Galsa: Shoghl Afareet” to be one of the best four plays in 2017. “Sallem Nafsak” (Surrender), “Youm An Katalo el Gen’a” (The Day They Killed Singing) and “Kawaeed el Eshk el Arboon” (The 40 Rules of Love) are the other three best plays in 2017
