CAIRO – 4 January 2018: Prominent Tunisian author Khaoula Hamdi will reissue her novel “Aain El-Mafar” (Where to Escape to?) during the upcoming edition of Cairo International Book Fair.
Last year, a plagiarized version of the novel conquered book markets, it was incomplete, and of poor quality, Hamdi explained on her official Facebook page.
“It is rewritten from scratch, everything in the novel is changed including the plot, themes, characters’ development and events,” Hamdi added.
“I kept the same title to prevent more plagiarized copies, and eventually, the new version will be replacing the old one,” Hamdi explained.
Khoula Hamdi is a Tunisian prominent author known for her first novel “Fi Qalby Ontha Eibreya” (In My Heart is a Jewish Girl). The novel tackles different themes such as the closed Jewish community, resistance in Lebanon, and different stories about war and love.
Shortly, Hamdi released best-selling novels such as “Ghorbet Al-Yasmin,” and “An Tabqa” (To Stay).
