CAIRO – 29 December 2017: “Ma’akom” TV program chose “Talat Dakkat” (Three Beats) as the best song of 2017. This choice was based on audience votes.

After the song was released, it ranked as the number one song in trending videos on YouTube for five days.

It all began and ended in El Gouna, where the first edition of El Gouna Film Festival took place. Mohamed Abou El-Enien, known as Abou, met with talented scriptwriter Tamer Habib and introduced the idea to him. Four hours later, lyrics were ready to be composed.

Actress and singer Yousra’s participation in the song was Abou’s wish, and when Tamer Habib called her, she didn’t express excitement. But as soon as she heard the lyrics, she fell in love, as she previously described herself, saying, “I have a youthful heart.” She emphasized that it added positive vibes to the wonderful atmosphere of the first El Gouna Film Festival (GFF).

When Naguib Sawiris, famous Egyptian businessman and founder of El Gouna Film Festival, heard the song, he insisted on shooting a video clip for it in its birthplace of El Gouna, advising people in different moods to listen to the song.

Abou described the atmosphere that they worked in with “A Loving Overflow”, saying that this explains why people feel love when they listen to it.

Shereen Reda previously expressed on Instagram how pleased she is with the song, as she published a photo with Tamer Habib, Yousra and Abou under the caption “One of the best art pieces that I’ve worked on.”

Abou explained the secret behind his name, which confused the audience, saying that this has been his nickname since he was seven years old.

Habib also added that the song reached different Egyptian social classes, saying, “You can hear the song whether in a car, bus, cafe or home."

Being friends and colleagues who meet every day and act spontaneously was the essence of the music video’s success, according to Tamer Habib. "We were happy while recording and singing without thinking of success," Yousra previously commented.

“The enjoyable sounds of the music and the attractive simple lyrics helped us finish the song smoothly, and the lyrics were written in only a couple of hours,” Habib previously stated.

In this song, Abou is the singer, lyricist and composer, while Mariam Abou Ouf is the director. “Talat Dakkat” marks the launching of Abou’s artistic path, as well as getting Yousra back to singing.
