CAIRO – 20 December 2017: The fifth edition of the International Storytelling and Folklore Festival will kick off tomorrow in Zagora, Morocco.
Held under the theme of “Africa Tales,” the festival will run from December 21 to December 24.
Aiming to rediscover authentic African heritage and revive inherited storytelling traditions, the festival hosts various artistic groups from all over Africa to represent their cultures and folklore.
The program includes various solo and group performances, folklore shows, theatrical performances, as well as special events and workshops dedicated to children.
The opening ceremony will start with an artistic carnival touring the whole city. All participants will participate in the carnival.
Many figures will be honored in the festival such as Moroccan artist Mohamed Atir and Moroccan director Abdel Karim Berrechid.
