'The Visit' theatrical performance to stage Teatro Eskendria

CAIRO – 10 December 2017: The successful play "The Visit" will be performed twice at Teatro Eskendria on December 16 by Storm theatrical troupe.

Directed by Mohamed al-Gamsy, "The Visit" is based on contemporary Greek author Loula Anagnostaki's one-act play "Polé" (The City).

Shedding light on human suffering, the play explores human's inner conflicts. It also examines globalization's impacts on modern lifestyle and social communities.

"The Visit" was performed at different venues such as the Greek Culture Center. It was praised by the audience due to the impressive talents of the performers: Mohamed Nagla, Mahmoud Said and Yara Hassan.

Loula Anagnostaki was born on December 13, 1928, and died on October 8, 2017. She was one of the influential Greek dramatists. Her first three one-act plays "Dianyktereusē" (Overnight stop), "Polé" (The City) and "Parelasé" (Parade) were performed in 1965 in different countries such as Cyprus, Poland, France, Italy and the U.K.

Her major works are "E Synanastrophē" (Social encounter), "Antonio ē to menyma" (Antonio or the message), "Nikē" (Victory), "E Kaseta" (The cassette), and "O Ihos Tou Oplou" (The sound of the gun).
