Battle of the Sexes” to screen at DIFF 365

CAIRO – 4 December 2017: Award nominated American film “Battle of the Sexes,” released in 2017, will screen at the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF 365), which will be running from December 7 to December 14, according to press statement released by DIFF 365.

The film revolves around the historical tennis match between Women's Tennis Champion, Billie Jean King, and Ex-Men's Tennis Champion, Bobby Riggs, in 1973.
Each is fighting for their beliefs; King fights to prove her identity and edge the fight for gender equality forward, while Riggs fights to support the opposite side of the binary argument. Off-court both players were fighting their own personal demons and complex battles.

Directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, the “Battle of the Sexes” stars Emma Stone and Steve Carell.

In September, the movie premiered worldwide at the Telluride Film Festival (TFF); it also screened at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

The 14th edition of the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF 365) is set to take place between December 6 and December 13. DIFF 365 plans to showcase well over 120 original films from the Arab world and beyond, promoting new talent and creativity.
