Pan Flute master Gheorghe Zamfir to perform in Cairo

CAIRO – 3 December 2017: The master of Pan Flute, Gheorghe Zamfir will perform in Cairo for the first time on December 21. The concert will be held at The Marquee, Cairo Festival City.

Zamfir, along with his orchestra, will honor the Egyptian iconic singer Um Kulthum. The event is organized by Phoenix Entertainment S.A.E.

With over 120 million records sold, Zamfir is known for playing in the traditional Romanian musical style. He won more than 120 gold and platinum records.

Having outstanding compositional talents, he composed a various number of film soundtracks such as “Once Upon A Time in America”, “Kill Bill” and “The Karate Kid”.

Zamfir also will introduce many of his hits such as “Einsamer Hirte,” “El Condor Pasa,” and “Claire de Lune.”
