FILE – Well-known Egyptian harpist Manal Mohei Eldin
CAIRO – 3 December 2017: Well-known Egyptian harpist Manal Mohei Eldin will perform at the Cairo Opera House’s Small Hall on Friday, December 8, 2017.
Mohei Eldin is a well-known Egyptian Harpist and a professor at the Cairo Conservatory. She has numerous recitals to her name, beside her performances with many other Egyptian orchestras such as the Cairo Symphony Orchestra, Cairo Opera Orchestra, and Cairo Festival Orchestra, among others.
Mohei Eldin participates periodically in music festivals like the Citadel Festival for Music and Singing, and the Opera House Summer Festival.
She usually performs in Omar Khairat’s ensemble, a perfect duo for their fans who are accustomed to seeing them perform together. She became famous through her many performances with the Banat Al-Nil (Daughters of the Nile) ensemble, founded in the early 2000s, in addition to performing with her own Manal Mohei Eldin Oriental ensemble.
In August 2013, she was awarded the State Incentive Award for Arts, a prestigious award given to people with outstanding achievements, by the Egyptian State.
