The two concerts are part of Yanni’s first mini tour in KSA, which consists of four concerts in two major Saudi cities, Jeddah and Riyadh, from November 30 to December.
Yanni introduced his most celebrated compositions including “Nostalgia,” “The Rain Must Fall,” “World Dance,” among others in a two-hour performance, accompanied by 15 musicians.
The tour is part of the “Winter Entertainment Program,” which hosts a variety of interesting events, according to the Saudi General Entertainment Authority and Entertainment Calendar’s (Roznamah) official Twitter account.
Yanni has previously performed in Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon, and Tunisia. He is considered one of the first musicians ever to perform at various historical sites included on the UNESCO world heritage list, like the Giza pyramids in Egypt, Taj Mahal in India, Acropolis in Greece, and Carthage in Tunisia.
Listed as one of the top contemporary music composers, Yanni is known for his melodious and smooth music that harmonizes jazz, oriental, and classic melodies. Yanni’s compositions capture the hearts of people from all walks of life. His albums sold more than seven million copies all over the world.
