Second Children Film Festival opens door for participants

CAIRO – 8 November 2017: Children Film Festival’s organizing committee opens the door for participants to submit their projects until November 20 in its second edition that will kick off on November 25 at Darb 1718.

The film should feature a child-related theme showing a humane story of a child and shouldn’t exceed 30-minutes of duration.

The festival is a collaboration between Magica House Company and Darb 1718 and it takes place during November, celebrating children’s day under the supervision of Magica House company director Maggi Anwar.

Leading the first edition at El Hanager Arts center, the jury of the festival consisted of the Egyptian prominent actor Sameh El Serety, Ghada Gabra, the former dean of High Cinema Institute, and Layla Fakhry, head of animation department of High Cinema Institute.

Members of this year’s jury are yet to be announced, according to the event’s official page.

The best three films selected as winners of this edition will be trained and nominated to participate in various art projects carried out by Magica House and other production companies.

The festival will host a casting for children for the first time in the festival for children ranging in age from 5 to 15 years old.PFR
