CAIRO – 7 November 2017: American fine artist Vicky Tesmer will be leading an exhibition showcasing her Egyptian series entitled “Family of Souls – Ancestors of the Pharaohs” on Thursday at Ziad Bekir hall at Cairo Opera House.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by head of the Cairo Opera House Inas Abdel Dayem.
“The inspiration of this exhibition is the energy that one feels when he/she is in Egypt; a foreigner is immediately transferred through time when he/she see the Pyramids or the Valley of the Pharaohs in Luxor for the first time,” Tesmer told Egypt Today.
She further added that experiencing Egypt is similar to experiencing time travel as she describes it as “Mystical”

Tesmer’s paintings will be showing the joy and color of Egypt through depictions of camels, citadels, and other combinations including temples, mosques, and Egyptians’ daily lives.“The “Creation Series” is the most profound group of pastel drawings on canavas along with “Ancestors of the Pharaohs Series” as they represent patterning of life and energy,” she added.
