CAIRO – 3 November 2017: The Egyptian band ‘Sorour’ will team up with Tunisian musician Nour Harkati & the band “Aytma” for a double-bill concert at Cairo’s El Genaina Theater on Thursday, November 9.
The “Sorour Project” is an acoustic band founded by Mohamed Sorour that hails from Alexandria and fuses jazz, blues, folk music and electronic rock, in what they call a combination of oriental folk and world music.
The band consists of members Sorour as lead vocalist, Violinist Mostafa El-Attar, lead Guitarist Mohamed Magdy, Mohamed El-Sayed on keyboard, Moamen Hassan as Bassist, Gomaa on percussion and Abdel-Razzeq on drums, according to Ahram Online.
Nour Harkati’s music carries a mystical touch to it that’s sensitive and pleasing to the ear. His song “Helwess” is collaboration between him and the band ‘Aytma’, which is composed of members Youssef Soltana on drums, Marwen Soltana on Bass, Selim Arjoun on Piano and Hedi Fahem as their vocalist.
