Michael Jackson is Forbes top-earning dead celebrity

Michael Jackson

is still one of the world’s highest earning celebrities, according to a recently released Forbes list which puts him at the #1 spot five years in a row.

Between October 15, 2016 and October 15, 2017, Jackson’s estate had raked in $75 million thanks to the release of his greatest hits album, a show in Las Vegas’s Cirque Du Soleil. Last year saw Jackson managing to bring in a whopping total of $825 million, the highest annual earnings for any celebrity dead or alive, thanks to the sale of Jackson’s part of the Sony/ATV music catalogue for $750 million.

Other celebrities still making big cash even in death include golf pro Arnold Palmer with $40 million, Peanuts creator Charles Schulz with $38 million,

Elvis Presley

at $35 million and Bob Marley at $23 million.
