Alexandrian Heritage days to be organized in November

CAIRO – 1 November 2017: Service pédagogique – CEAlex will organize the eighth edition of the Alexandrian Heritage days from November 10-17.

The event will be held in various places in Alexandria, including the French Institute, Bibliotheca Alexandria, L’Atelier D’Alexandrie, the Lebanese consulate and Alexandria National Museum.

It aims to spread awareness about culture and heritage in Egypt by opening historic places and museums that are rarely visited and by setting up workshops and guided tours.

Alexandrian Heritage days, first arranged in 2010, do not focus on a certain historic era or certain traditions. It includes the ancient era, Ottoman and Khedive eras, religious monuments and palaces in Alexandria.

Its program includes many activities, such as concerts, films, documentaries, lecturers, meetings with writers and exhibitions.
