CAIRO – 1 November 2017: The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture in Beit Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a two-week celebration.
The celebration runs from Tuesday, November 7 until Saturday, November 25 and will feature a variety of documentary photographs, installations, film screenings, talks, readings, performances and more, with the full program yet to be announced.
Founded in 2007, the AFAC is an independent initiative established in Lebanon by local cultural lobbyists as a means of providing funding for artistic institutions and financial support to Arab artists and as means of upholding contemporary artistic Arab culture. Since it’s opening, AFAC has contributed over $16 million and supported around 1,130 projects.
The event is sponsored by the Prince Claus Fund, the Boghossian Foundation and supported by HBK.
