Alexandria’s Short Film Festival open application doors

CAIRO – 29 October 2017: The fourth edition of Alexandria Short Film Festival 2018 is accepting applications for participating films through December 15.

Participating films should have been produced no earlier than 2016. Films that previously screened in Alexandria or on any medium, or have been screened at previous festival editions cannot participate, according to the festival’s official Facebook page.

Films should also be 30-minutes long maximum. Participants may present documentaries, features, or motion films that will screen during the end of the festival on April 24. Non-Egyptian films are also accepted only if they feature English subtitles; however, the director’s nationality has to be Arab.

For the student competition category, application doors will open January 1 and close on March 1. This is the first edition where the festival runs a student competition category.
