CAIRO – 27 October 2017: The Egyptian journalist and scriptwriter Haitham Dabbour announced that he chose to present a love story of an old man and woman because such kind of love stories haven’t been presented much in Egyptian cinema.

“The idea of the film is for someone who starts to rediscover his life when he is over 60 years old,” Dabbour recounted.

“Photocopy” won the El Gouna Golden Star Award for Best Arabic Feature Narrative Film at El Gouna Film Festival. “Photocopy” stars Mahmoud Hemeida, Shereen Reda, Farah Youssef, Aly Tayeb and Ahmed Dash. The movie was written by Haitham Dabour and directed by Tamer Ashry.

It narrates the story of an old man who decided to head a photocopy shop after retirement.

He starts to think of the world around him and the people he is surrounded with.
