Sufi band Waslet Samaa to perform at AlRab3

CAIRO – 26 October 2017: Egyptian sufi band Waslet Samaa’ will perform at El Sawy Culture Wheel on Friday.

Founded in 2014, Waslet Samaa introduces God’s praise through chanting and repeating the name of Allah and his gifts. It also praises Prophet Mohamed using religious poetic sonnets such as “Nour Allah, Ya Sayed” (God’s Light, Master).

It covers numerous iconic Sufi music compositions for acclaimed chanters such as Nasr El Din Tobar and Sayed Al Nakshabandi.

Heritage revival and rediscovery are the main targets of Waslet Samaa’s members; their chanting and singing is from the early generation of chanters’ style.

Previously, the band performed many live performances at El Sawy Culture Wheel.
