CAIRO – 19 October 2017: Cairo Opera House will hold a press conference on Monday to announce details about the 26th Arab Musical Festival that will be held from November 1 to November 15.
Head of Cairo Opera House Enas Abdel Dayem has accepted the three categories of the competition that will take place in the 26th Arabic Music Festival held from November 1 to 15 at Cairo Opera House.
Held in honors of the late singer Mohsen Farouk, the competition consists of three sections. The first section is dedicated for people aged between 17 and 40 years old, focuses on the artistic creativity in Arabic music. The second section is for competitors playing one of the authentic traditional musical instruments – Rabab. The final section is for children aged between six to 14 years old introducing historic songs.
The winners in the first, second and third sections will be awarded LE 40,000, LE 22,000 and LE 10,000 respectively and will participate in the closing ceremony at the Great Hall of Cairo Opera House.
