CAIRO – 15 October 2017: Cairo University will host the Egyptian prominent author and critic and former Minister of Culture, Gaber Asfour, on October 15. Asfour will head a constructive discussion with the university’s students
The lecture is a part of the second season of “Al-Molhem” [The Important].
“Al-Molhem” is a collaboration cultural project between the Supreme Council of Culture and Tahrir Lounge.
The Supreme Council of Culture will dedicate a book library to the Faculty of Arts to enrich the youth’s reading selections.
Hatem Rabie, the general secretary of the Supreme Council of Culture stated that the books were selected according to every student’s age and comprehension.
He also added that Egypt needs both education and culture to achieve the desired development.
“Al-Molhem” project aims to host a number of Egyptian and German authors, thinkers, and scientists to enhance young people's creativity and critical thinking.
