Based on the works of theoretical physicist Kip Thorne and written by Christopher Nolan and his brother and collaborator Jonathan, Interstellar takes place in the near future when mankind is about to be wiped out by climate change. Engineer and pilot Cooper (McConaughey) leads a team of astronauts in a special spaceship that can surpass the limitations of physical laws. To promote the film, an oculus rift experience was built in New York’s Loews Theaters last month to give some of the fans the feel of a zero gravity interstellar voyage.
